Gallions Reach has long supported community programmes and initiatives that engage with the local catchment. As a stand-alone shopping park, we have an ongoing goal to remain an essential part of our customer's daily life.
As part of this, we have established relationships with many key partners, including hosting regular sports events working with UEL, local sports clubs and resident sports persons who best represent the community.
We hold an annual Eid Market, allowing small and independent businesses to showcase their products whilst appealing to a part of the diverse culture of the Borough. Showcasing cultural events and holidays has long been part of the Park's DNA and something we will continue to grow over the coming years.
During the Christmas period, we engage with the local Broadway Theatre in Barking, which participates in our Annual Christmas Launch and invites Talent Central to spearhead our Christmas parade and Gallions Primary to delight our customers with their Christmas choir.
As part of our seasonal calendar of events, it's commonplace to see a local business or charity involved in our campaigns, whether Surrey Quays Farm is offering an Easter petting zoo or Great Ormond Street Hospital as a charity partner of a summer event.
To be an integral part of the community, we must do what we can to help local people live a better life, and that is why the centre will continue to work and support local groups.
